The challenge
Fine wine is bought slowly — on atmosphere, story, and trust — nothing like the click-rush of standard e-commerce. VLV needed a catalog, a shop, and a tasting-events club that feel like leafing through a beautifully printed magazine without losing the mechanics of search, cart, and checkout.
The approach
- 01
An editorial layout system — generous whitespace, refined serif display type, and photography-first pages that sell terroir before price.
- 02
A warm cellar palette of cream, oak, and burgundy drawn from the product itself, so the interface recedes and the wine leads.
- 03
Commerce patterns woven in quietly: search, wishlist, account, and cart sit inside the elegance instead of breaking it.
- 04
Invitation-only dégustation evenings designed as a club — event cards, mailing-list capture, and RSVP flows that turn scarcity into a feature.

The outcome
A complete, presentation-grade design system for wine commerce — desktop and mobile, homepage to checkout to tasting club — published on Behance and ready for a build team to take to production.
Context
A shipped e-commerce experience for a premium Swiss wine business. Design led by Katerina Yanchuk, Morpho Studio's art director.
